About The Hack

Sex trafficking is real. It is common. And it touches every corner of the world. Each day, we are surprised not by acts of community or altruism but instead increasingly innovative ways objectify, demoralize and oppress human dignity, in service of power and capital.  On August 6, we’re joining together to to raise money for freedom from sex trafficking. We’re proud to support Ally, a Canadian charity working to prevent sex trafficking and help survivors find healing through safe housing, education and aftercare.

To emphasize that change requires action and momentum, Ally Global encourages events that spotlight movement. In recognition that humor is a powerful tonic, we have elected to Hack. What does that mean for folks like us:  17 years since laying foot to sack, we will raise our thighs to the sky once again in an epic 8-hour hacky-sack marathon. 

Can you help us meet our fundraising goal by making a donation? Every cent raised by our hack-tion will go directly to Ally Global as they work to provide safety and freedom to survivors of human trafficking. (Note: Tax receipts available for permanent residents of Canada.)
